Val Thorens introduction
When you do winter sports like ski, it is difficult to do it in a nature friendly way.
But in Europe’s highest ski resort, this is not a problem, because it is a car-free zone.
Skiing is turned into an art there; everything is very near and accessible to you. Above all, the magnificent Alps take care of your unforgettable stay.
Do not worry for your car. It will be parked in one of the open-air lots of the resort, which are covered; they are open non-stop – 24/7, so whenever you arrive in Val Thorens, you will be welcomed by the friendly staff. When you leave your car, you will be serviced by the special shuttle bus.
Enjoy all the fresh air you can take! Val Thorens is famous for its clean mountain air. Use the time there to breathe deeply and cleanse your lungs from the smog of the cities.
The obligatory parking is established not only for environmental reasons, but also for security ones – in extreme weather, which is not a rare guest in the high resort, you will be in danger if you drive your own car.
It is not only the highest resort in Europe. Val Thorens is something more – it is the crossing point of three mountains, which make its features unique.
The system is called the Three Valleys.
