One of the modern French resorts, Valfrejus was built only 15 years ago where the village of Notre Dame de Charmaix used to be. It represents in fact a vast snow-white field with warm wooden chalets and amazing abundance of skiable area, on and off-piste. Unlike many other French resorts, the modern buildings and pompous constructions were avoided for the sake of a genuine and fresh chalet style village, charming, welcoming and functional. The resort benefits another great advantage – it is pretty close to Turin, which makes it easily reachable destination.

The resort is nestling on 1550 m above sea level in the heart of the beautiful Maurienne Valley. It offers 20 pistes spreading on 52 km. With the impressive variety of the terrains and the abundance of off-piste, it caters best for beginners with 70% of the area adapted for them. Intermediates will fast improve and enjoy the thrilling expert slopes (20% of the overall skiing area). The vast and varied mountain slopes are also great for snowboarders – initiating or expert on the board, you will find plenty of space and snow to challenge you. There is also a perfectly equipped snow park.

Picturesque scenery and sparkling white open-air will host you in a winter fairy-tale here. Still, do not forget this is a modern resort, so many leisure facilities and entertainment opportunities are at your disposal. The après-ski scene has been inspired by traditional spirit and boasts of fresh and cozy atmosphere. Local specialties and international cuisine are served in the charming small restaurants. Night entertainment is moderate but enough fun is assured for all generation visitors.
