Val Cenis is a pleasant resort in the Maurienne region. It is relatively unknown, making it a peaceful and relaxing place to visit. It is a quaint, traditional French village comprised of two communities – Lanslevillard and Lanslebourg. The former is the more attractive of the two and offers slopes at great elevations on the Col du Mont Cenis near the Italian border. The highest station is at 2800 m above sea level. There are ample opportunities for off-piste skiing – two snow parks and several wooded meadows are at your disposal. The winter season is from December to April. 44% of the slopes are for beginners, 42% for intermediates, and 14% for advanced skiers. There are 6 km of cross-country trails.
