St Francois Longchamp is one of twenty resorts in the Maurienne region. It nestles in the Maurienne valley, only 55 miles away from Chambery. The resort-village offers beautiful views toward the south. It has many long pistes and great nursery slopes, making it a very feasible option for skiers of beginners’ and intermediate levels. Intermediates will enjoy the runs between St Francois Longchamp and Valmorel. There is a snow park just above the resort as well. The resort offers 4 chair lifts and 13 draglifts. It has a total of 27 runs – 6 green, 12 blue, 6 red and 3 black. There are 65 marked pistes with a total length of 165 km. Other possibilities include husky sledding, hot air ballooning, snowshoeing, and paragliding.
