Plagne Bellecote is a lively and fun holiday destination. It is very popular with snow sports fans, being the starting point of the route to the majestic Bellecote Glacier. It also offers access to a half-pipe and snowboard park. Plagne Bellecote is part of the famous La Plagne ski area of France. It is situated a little way down from the village of Belle Plagne. Two new chairlifts connect it to the lower resorts.
Plagne Bellecote consists mainly of apartment buildings, constructed at the foot of the slopes running down to the
resort. This village is at 1930 m above sea level. The highest lift in the area reaches to 3250 m. The resort offers a system of 110 lifts and 124 ski pistes with a total length of 225 km. Plagne Bellecote is one of six high-altitude villages comprising the biggest single resort area in Europe. It also offers many activities for tourists who are not fond of skiing. There is truly something for everyone here. The resort is popular with families – it offers a ski playground and a nursery, as well as many ski-in and ski-out properties. Plagne Bellecote offers a satisfying apres ski scene with a selection of bars, diners, and shops. Most bars have terraces facing the slopes. The exciting Saloon is the most popular bar in the village.
La Plagne is perfect for intermediate skiers with more than 70 blue runs and a state-of-the-art lift network taking skiers up to majestic heights with breathtaking views. Plagne Bellecote is the perfect departure point from which to explore the vast terrain with a gondola, which first goes to Roche de Mio at 2700 m and then to the Bellecote Glacier at 3250 m. The north face of the glacier is appropriate for experts only – it features a heart-stopping 2000 m vertical drop. Additionally, Bellecote's snow park is completely natural.
