Arc 1800 is the largest, the central, and the most exciting resort area in Les Arcs, France. It consists of four villages – Villards, Chantel, Charmettoger, and Charvet. This resort offers innumerable sports and apres-ski possibilities. It is a well-developed, internationally famous travel destination. The marked trails are characterized by protected natural beauty. Sports enthusiasts can choose from skiing, snowboarding, golfing, ice-skating, tennis, climbing, hiking, or simply walking and admiring the sights. Arc 1800 offers around 100 shops, meeting rooms, an ice-rink, a two-screen cinema, hotels, free shuttles to all points in Les Arcs, lively bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. The Transarc gondola ensures quick access to the highest point of the Arc 2000 valley, Col de la Chal. The accommodation base of Arc 1800 totals 18 372 beds.

Arc 1800 is divided in three sections, with large apartment buildings and open-air shopping malls in the first two. The third section is quieter, with many wooded areas and small charming buildings. This resort is excellent for beginners because of the wide and convenient nursery slopes and gentle blue runs. You can access the outer villages of Les Arc Peisey Nancroix and Les Arc Peisey Vallandry from here. As the center of Les Arcs Arc 1800 has the most comprehensive network of facilities. Its main advantage lies in its ski-in, ski-out facilities, meaning that you can start skiing right from the doorstep of your flat or hotel. The highest lift reaches to 3 226 m. There are 62 lifts in total.

The resort features friendly arcades with shops, easy access to the Arc 2000 bowl and to the blue and red runs in the direction of Peisey Nancroix. You can reach La Plagne from there via cabin lift. The snowboard park is located at an elevation of 1600-1800 m. Other options include squash, bowling, snow scooters, hang gliding, and an ice-grotto at the top of the Transarc, which can be accessed easily by pedestrians. Floodlit skiing is possible in Arc 1800 and Arc 2000. There are great ski equipment stores in the nearby town of Bourg-St-Maurice , which offers some nice French Saturday markets as well. The swimming pool in this town is open to the public. Another attraction there is the Beaufort dairy. Make sure you visit the Red Hot Saloon Bar with live music in this resort. A popular nightclub in Arc 1800 is the Apocalypse. For delectable regional cuisine, go for dinner at the Gargantus. There are several clubs for children as well in Arc 1800, providing entertainment for the young ones.
