Orcières 1850 is a high-altitude resort perched amidst a high alpine meadow. It offers ski runs at elevations between 1,850 and 2,725 meters at the core of the Champsaur Valley next to the pleasant Écrins national park. Popular destinations within Orcières 1850 include the Grande Ourse and the Petite Ourse. Grande Ourse is a recreation and leisure complex with two swimming pools with flumes, a panoramic bar, a ten-pin bowling alley, and a vast ice rink. The Petite Ourse is family-friendly and offers a childcare center for children up to 6 years of age. There is also a ski kindergarten.
