Situated in the Meribel Valley in the entrance of the worldwide famous Three Valley (Les Trois Valleys) ski area - world's largest interlinked ski area with more than 600 kilometers of ski runs serviced by almost 200 lift facilities. The resort itself, provides its guest with instant access to 144 kilometers of runs (71% of them being of intermediate difficulty level), which are located in the Meribel Valley. It is, however, clear that the Valley is connected with the neighbour resorts of Courchevel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires. In fact, Meribel is the most centrally located of all villages what makes it the place to stay if you want to check the entire ski area of the 3 Valleys. Large number of cable cars and ski lifts allows skiers quickly get anywhere they wish. Although the slopes located around the village may not satisfy most sophisticated skiers, there still is Mont Vallon with its brand new slopes and superb lift base. What is more, it is not another purpose-built village like most ski resorts in the French Alps, so you should be able to feel the real atmosphere of the mountains. It is Meribel, where you will notice traditional mountain chalets, all with typical slate roofs and snow at the top. Meribel's night life is rich and diversified. Among noisy and crowdy bars and discos, one can choose some more peaceful spot to unwind with a glass of wine. Resort's restaurants serve from traditional, local cuisine to international specialties typical for Italian or Spanish way of dining.
