Courchevel
Well-known as one of the best resorts not only in France but in the world, Courchevel is both a traditional mountain village and alpine ski resort. Its long ski area with first class lift connections to the other Three valleys (Trois Vallées) resorts and the perfectly groomed pistes contribute to its glory of being one of the best French resort.
Courchevel is composite of five different areas. The areas are named after the height at which they are situated: Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850 and the two lower areas are Le Praz and La Tania (both at 1300m). Nestling among the pine trees, Courchevel 1850 is the most sophisticated resort in France with wide variety of hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques. Courchevel 1650 offers direct access to its own ski area and a more informal atmosphere, whilst the village at 1550m offers and easy access to the rest of the ski area.

Courchevel offers 150 kms of pistes. The highest run is at 2738m and the lowest at 1300m. Skiers will find 31 Green runs, 41 Blues, 40 Reds and 12 Blacks. There are 4 snow parks and 519 snow cannons.

Beginner skiers will like the gentle tree-lined slopes above the 1850m and 1650m. The massive Courchevel valley provides plenty of terrain for even beginners to explore with relative ease.
Courchevel is paradise for intermediate skiers, and they will enjoy the long, quiet runs above 1650m, as well as the opportunity to ski over to the Méribel and Val Thorens valleys.
Advanced skiers have many pistes on which to have fun. There are plenty of steep, black runs, here it is the famous 'Grand Couloir' below the Saulire cable car - one of the most testing black slopes in the country.
Snowboarders will enjoy the various board parks around Courchevel, as well as the endless on and off-piste snowboarding opportunities. The resort caters well for boarders, the snowboarding tradition here is from far back.

Tourists will find in Courchevel some gourmet restaurants and enticing cafes. The lively bars like 'Space Bar', 'Rocky's' and 'Bubble Bar' are found at 1650m;'Le Jump' and 'Kalico' at 1850.
