At La Fayet, take N205/E25 for 16 km.
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and continue along N506 for 0.3 km to arrive in Chamonix.


Driving from Grenoble:

Close to Villeurbanne, take N383 for 1.1 km and head towards Geneve/Saint-Exupery/Rocade Est.
Take A42/E611 for 53 km towards Bourgh-en-Bresse/Geneve/Milan/Strasbourg/Saint-Exupery.

Pass close to Aosta, and take E25/Strada Statale 26 for 4.5 km.
Pass Courmayeur: continue along E25/Strada Statale 26 and turn left to E25/Strada La Palud to exit the town.
Continue E25/Strada La Palud and turn left to E25/Piazzale Del Traforo.
Take E25/T1 for 4 km to enter France.
Take N205/E25 for 11 km.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and continue along N506 to arrive in Chamonix.


By Rail/Bus:

There are regular bus services operating to the resort from Geneva and Lyon airports. The nearest train station (www.sncf.fr) is Annecy, with a high speed TGV taking you to the spot and an antique electric train that joins Saint-Gervais - Le Fayet to Martigny (Switzerland) getting you to the resort.
From Lyon airport, there is a train service to Annecy, from where you could either continue by bus or change to the electric train. Annecy has a domestic airport.
Chamonix has a gondola service over Mont Blanc that descends into Italy.
